You want to give your art more time, attention, and room to develop.
At the Online Art Academy, your artistic practice is at the centre. Explore materials, pursue ideas, and develop your work through creative prompts, exchange with others, and dialogue with me.
You might be making your first marks, returning to art, or developing an established practice. Our work can focus on experimentation and artistic direction, or on professional questions such as shaping a portfolio, writing about your work, and planning or curating an exhibition.
You bring your own way of seeing, your interests, and your experience. Through close looking and conversation, we explore how these qualities come through in your work—so you can recognise your artistic voice, reconnect with it, and develop it on your own terms.
Many prompts begin with drawing or painting; the wider artistic enquiry extends across media. Choose the level of support that suits you—from daily prompts and community exchange to focused conversations or intensive one-to-one mentorship.
My practice was shaped by learning from internationally established artists actively engaged in contemporary art. Their approaches continue to inform how I work, question, and teach.
My work spans drawing, painting, digital collage, installation, photography, video, and VR/AR, alongside collaboration and curating. I explore images, spaces, and cultural memory. I exhibit internationally and have received the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant.
Since 2014, I have taught internationally, from Berlin to South Africa. I have helped many people strengthen their artistic expression, sharpen their visual language, and professionalise their practice—from developing work to organising exhibitions, preparing portfolios, and writing applications.
My teaching combines close dialogue with focused feedback and practical guidance. We examine artistic decisions, identify possibilities worth pursuing, and work through frustration when a process becomes difficult. Participants regularly tell me that our work together opens up perspectives and possibilities they can carry into their practice.
Teaching is a reciprocal exchange, but I bring the full experience of my artistic, curatorial, and teaching practice to it. You bring your interests and ambitions. Together, we turn questions into decisions you can act on—and work you can develop further.
I’ve felt everything you describe. If it wasn’t a masterpiece, I thought it was worthless. Your approach helped me draw just for the joy of it again. ✨

I stopped drawing for years because of self-doubt. Your exercises got me back into a creative rhythm in minutes — no pressure, no overthinking.

As a perfectionist this is hard — but your exercises finally gave me a way to begin without fear. Even the calm guidance helps me loosen up. 🌿

Your guide made me realize how much perfectionism was blocking me. Starting feels simple and doable now — even on busy days.

I’ve never shared my drawings without fear before. This space helped me rediscover joy in creating. 💛
